2018 Buick Regal GS Storms Onto The Scene
Buick just keeps cranking out more and more dramatic vehicles, taking away excuses to not consider one. The latest is the 2018 Regal GS, which looks fantastic and should be pretty fun to drive.
Under that sleek hood sits a new 3.6-liter V-6, which is good for 310 horsepower and 282 lb.-ft. of torque. Mated to it is a 9-speed automatic transmission, which should be smooth. Regrettably, there’s no manual option. The fact that intelligent all-wheel drive is standard, along with a five-link rear suspension, should mean this sedan handles well.
The driver and front passenger both sit in AGR-certified performance seats. Not only do they cradle your body, but also featured heaters, ventilation, and a massaging function. Mounted to the flat-bottom steering wheel are metal pedals, for when you want to change gears yourself.
This car is aimed squarely at the Lexus IS350 F-Sport and Acura TLX A-Spec, because it says so in the official press release. So far, I say it wins in the looks department, and on paper sounds like it should top the other two in performance.
