The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Becomes Even Swankier

After a series of unfortunate changes to the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the ultra-luxurious sedan is back to proper form. One of the first things you’ll notice is the two-tone paint job has returned, so nobody will mistake this for a commoner S-Class.
Other exterior tweaks include vertical slats for the grille, a new 20-inch multi-spoke wheel design, and nine different two-tone paint color combo options. If you get a dark color, a double clear coat is also available, so you get a piano lacquer effect.
Like before, the car is 10 inches longer than the standard S-Class. You can now get two new interior color combos that are only available for this car: Savanna Beige/Black and Armagnac Brown/Black. As for the Maybach Exclusive nappa leather upholstery, that can be paired with contrast stitching that’s copper, gold, or platinum-colored.
The lineup includes three models: S 560, S 560 4Matic, and S 650. The first two use a 4.0-liter V-8 that puts out 469 horsepower. The top-of-the-line version uses a 6.0-liter V-12 with 630 horsepower on tap, which can get the car moving from 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds, for when you’re late to a board meeting.
Mercedes plans to sell most of these things in the United States, China, and Russia, if that tells you anything.
