Lexus Has An LFA Trick Up Its Sleeve

Your wildest Lexus dreams are about to come true. According to a report from Car and Driver, the luxury brand is working on a new LC F that will have the heart of an LFA.

These are truly blessed times we live in, because Lexus is finally doing something to shed the fossil image it’s so carefully curated for years.

Those who dare, and have the pocketbook for it, will get 600 horsepower from this new Lexus. Under the hood, a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 will provide plenty of raucous thrills, at least we hope it will.

Also in the report is the tidbit that the same 10-speed automatic from the LC500 will be working with the new engine. While a manual would’ve been great, it wasn’t a realistic fantasy. The car should still provide plenty of tire-shredding fun.

An aero kit will make the LC F unmistakable, with plenty of vents, heat extractors, a fixed rear wing and a front splitter. Supposedly, the car will ride on 20-inch wheels and come with 6-piston front brake calipers.

So let’s all hope this anonymous internal source Car and Driver is using doesn’t turn out to be spitting out alternative facts.
