Two GTS Models Join Porsche Panamera Lineup

Porsche officially unveiled two new members of the Panamera family: the Panamera GTS and Panamera GTS Sport Turismo. You might not consider the Panamera a driver’s car quite like the 911, but it’s a more practical option if you want to bring more than one other person along for the ride. These GTS models will make the practicality more entertaining.

Both models use a biturbo 4.0-liter V-8 with 460 horsepower and 457 lb.-ft. of torque on tap. That’s more horsepower and torque than the previous version of this engine. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed PDK dual clutch transmission are included. The Sports Chrono package is standard for both GTS models. Acceleration comes quick with a 0-62 time of 4.1 seconds. You get to hear the engine in peak fashion, thanks to the standard sports exhaust system.

The list of goodies doesn’t stop there. The Porsche Panamera GTS and Panamera GTS Sport Turismo both feature an adaptive three-chamber air suspension for a balance of comfort and sharp handling response. Ride height is 10 mm lower than in other Panameras. The Sport Design package is also included, applying black trim to the interior and plenty of Alcantara. A heated steering wheel, adaptive cruise control, and other luxuries make this a vehicle you should be able to live with on a daily basis. It’s also a great alternative to crossovers, which are unbelievably hot at the moment.
