Here’s the Redesigned 2019 Audi A8

After hanging onto Audi’s old design language a bit too long, the A8 is finally getting a much-needed redesign in 2019. While its looks are brand new, the cues should be familiar, as it was inspired by the popular Prologue Concept.

Design-wise, the 2019 Audi A8 will feature a longer, wider, and leaner appearance. This look is thanks to the wider singleframe grille, headlights and taillights, and the long, flat roofline. Its body lines are also sharper and more pronounced than before, giving the A8 a sportier look. This look is further enhanced when you add the HD Matrix LED headlights and the OLED taillights.

Inside, occupants will be treated to a high-spec cabin with all the premium materials they could ever want, ambient lighting, a new MMI Navigation Plus system with a HERE-powered map, and more. In the rear seat, there will be available Matrix LED lighting, heated massage seats, adjustable head and foot rests, dual-zone climate control, an OLED remote to control the infotainment system and seating, and much more.

While the details are slim on the 2019 A8’s powertrain, we do know that it’ll feature a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The power will route through an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission on its way to all four wheels. What’s more, the combination of dynamic all-wheel steering, active electromechanical suspension, and electronic chassis platform, the A8 will be comfortable and responsive.
