The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hops on the Blacked-Out Trend

The Chrysler Pacifica has been a smash hit since it debuted, so it’s now time for the automaker to tinker with it a bit. So why not add the popular blacked-out trend to this already hot-selling model? That’s exactly what Chrysler did with the addition of the all-new S Appearance Package to its resident minivan.

As seen on other Chrysler vehicles, the S Appearance Package darkens things up a bit and adds a touch of sportiness — even to a minivan.

On the outside, the Pacifica with the S Appearance Package gains gloss-black accents around the body, including the grille surrounds, eyebrow accents on the headlights, daylight opening molding, and rear valance molding. It also boasts Black Noise-painted 18-inch wheels (20-inch Black Noise wheels are available), Black Noise Chrysler wings on the front and rear, and Black Noise Pacifica and “S” logos on the rear. Also black is the optional roof rack on the Touring Plus trim.

Inside, the darkening continues with black seats with Light Diesel Gray accents, a black “S” logo, Light Diesel Gray accent stitching, Piano Black steering wheel accents, and Anodized Ice Cave bezels on the instrument panel and doors. Other black-colored items inside the cabin include the front overhead console, headliner, visors, second- and third-row cargo lighting bezel, A-pillar trim, and center console.

Buyers can add the S Appearance Package to the Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus or Limited for an extra $595. Adding the 20-inch wheels will tack on another $995.

The 2018 Pacifica with the S Appearance Package is available for order now, but it won’t be ready for delivery until later in the fall.
