Porsche Taps Disney To Lure Customers

Porsche North America is looking to pump you up and get you excited to own a Porsche, and it’s using Disney to do it. Automotive News is reporting Disney is training 5,200 dealership employees, putting them through a program literally called “Excite.”

What a world we live in these days.

Eventually, all customer-facing dealership employees will be going to training at Porsche’s Los Angeles or Atlanta centers. They’ll be learning how to pump people up and exceed expectations, instead of using the phrase “clean, one owner.”

Don’t expect any mouse ears at Porsche dealerships. This could be the beginning of the end, as Disney works to lock up the auto industry, too.

At least for now, we won’t have to endure long lines to test drive any cars.

Other changes are coming to Porsche dealers. All locations reportedly will have customer experience managers. Apparently, the company’s realizing making super-fat profit margins should be done while keeping customers happy and wanting to return for more fleecing.

This new Disney-lead program, Excite, is starting in North America. Eventually it will spread and take over all dealerships around the world.
