Lamborghini Huracan Performante Scorches The Porsche 918’s ‘Ring Lap Time

Lamborghini has released an impressive video of the yet-to-be-revealed Huracan Performante lapping the Nurburgring in 6:52:01. That’s quick enough to edge out the Porsche 918 Spyder, which set a record at 6:57.

Unfortunately, in the video above we only get a cockpit view of the Huracan Performante. The full reveal of the vehicle is set for March 7, so there’s not much of a wait left.

There’s plenty of speculation about the Huracan Performante. Some are saying the V-10 engine pumps out 630 horsepower. Others theorize there’s massive aero upgrades and tons of lightweighting. Maybe all of that’s true, or at least a part of it. The aero and lightweighting are pretty much no-brainers, so really the engine output is the questionable item.
