Jaguar Unleashes The Most Potent XJ With The XJR575

Recently, Jaguar previewed a new version of the XJ, showing it in a wrap with the number “575” plastered all over it. Today, Jaguar finally showed us what was hiding under that wrapper: the XJR575.

As its name implies, the XJR575 pushes the XJ’s max power to 575 horsepower, putting it 25 horsepower over the current XJR. This power comes from a re-tuned version of Jag’s existing 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 that also churns out 517 pound-feet of torque — a 15-pound-feet improvement over the XJR.

This power shoots the XJR575 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds, which is a 0.2-second improvement over the XJR. Top speed checks in at 186 mph — a 12-mph improvement — and it takes just 44 seconds to hit terminal velocity from a dead stop.

The Jaguar XJR575 has two exclusive color options: Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey. Setting it apart from the other XJRs are its twin hood louvers, red brake calipers, and 20-inch 5-split-spoke gloss-black wheels. Optionally, buyers can toss in rear spoiler, side sills, front bumper and lower air intakes featuring gloss black surrounds.

Inside, buyers will enjoy bespoke embossed doorsill plates, diamond-quilted seating, a new 10-inch infotainment screen, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi.
