Volkswagen Announces Cheap Tiguan Limited

If you want a cheap, value-packed German SUV, Volkswagen can hook you up. On a rebound from Dieselgate, the automaker is offering a new Tiguan Limited. As Jerry Seinfeld joked, the series will be limited by the number VW can sell.

For a mere MSRP of $21,995, you get halogen headlights, 16-inch steel wheels, cloth upholstery, the Composition Color infotainment system (which includes Bluetooth), plus a rearview camera. You can add 4Motion all-wheel drive for another $1,975, plus 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels for another $495. Also, there’s a $865 destination fee.

To get really fancy, you can add the Premium Package for $1,295. It includes cruise control, a cargo cover, roof rails, keyless entry, a leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, a 6.33-inch screen for the infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLInk, HD radio, a single SD card slot, plus three months of Sirius XM Satellite Radio.

Yes, you can really inflate the price of this SUV. If you go crazy and get everything on it, plan on spending over $26,000, if you can’t negotiate below MSRP (and you should hang your head in shame).

Look for the Volkswagen Tiguan Limited to hit showrooms in the coming weeks.
