The New Night Package Darkens up the Ram 1500
The world of pickup trucks has changed tons over the years. No longer are these cargo haulers just appliances for task completion as buyers are seeking out more individuality and customization than ever before. Buyers seeking this in the Ram 1500 now have one new package to choose from in 2017: the Night Package.
This package is based on the well-equipped Ram 1500 Sport, which injects a little bit of sportiness with its body-color fascia, rear bumper, door handles and power-folding mirrors, dual chrome exhaust tips, and black-bezel projector headlights and taillights. Inside, this trim level also features high-back heated bucket seats with 10-way power adjustment, power-adjustable pedals, and dual-zone auto climate control.
On top of these features, the Night Package adds in a black grille surround with hex perf: pattern inserts, a “RAM” stamped tailgate with blacked-out lettering, a black Ram’s head grille emblem, flat-black “1500” door emblem, 4×4 tailgate badge and “5.7L HEMI” badge, 20-inch gloss-black wheels, and 275/60R20 rubber.
This package will come in both the regular-cab and crew-cab Ram 1500 Sport, and will have two available engines. The base engine will be a 305-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 while the optional powerplant will be a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with 395 ponies. Two-wheel drive will be standard, but buyers can opt for four-wheel drive.
The Ram 1500 Night will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2017. Pricing details will come as we near this release date.
