Volvo Reveals 2018 XC60 Pricing

We finally have pricing for the 2018 Volvo XC60. The crossover starts at $41,500, which puts it right on par with other luxury models like the Audi Q5 and Alfa Romeo Stelvio.

In the past, people would’ve laughed at a Volvo being priced that high, but times have changed. The Swedish automaker has finally gone upmarket, instead of hovering in that weird near-luxury space. Thanks to a combination of legacy, an impeccable record for safety, and a simple Scandinavian approach to design, the move is working beautifully.

That starting price is for the base Momentum trim. The R-Design will set you back at least $44,800. If you want the Inscription, it starts at $45,300. There are three engines, one for each of the trims. The base T5 turbo four-banger puts out a decent 250 horsepower. Going for the twin-charged (that’s with a turbo and supercharger) T6 four-cylinder means you get a big uplift to 316 horsepower. Finally, the T8 is a plug-in electric that throttles out 400 horsepower.

Volvo is throwing in a pretty nice array of standard equipment for all XC60s, like a panoramic moonroof, leather upholstery, lane-keep assistance, and oncoming lane mitigation. If you want the blind spot info system, which works with the steer assist, that’s an option. There are plenty more extras you can add.

Go to Volvo’s website if you want all the details, because the online configurator is up and running.
