2. Subaru Impreza WRX - MSRP from $25,995
The WRX still reigns supreme when it comes to cheap thrills. Thanks to aggressive turbocharging and other fine tuning by Subaru, the car can sprint from 0 to 60 in just 5.2 seconds. Even if you go for the upgraded Premium trim level, the price lands just south of $30,000. Subaru also offers the WRX in sedan and hatchback forms, so you can either look cool or be able to haul around more than a duffle bag. Everyone knows the car grips the road or even a dirt track with confidence, thanks to the all-wheel drive system that has helped carry many rally teams to podium finishes. The real “secret sauce” of the car is the 2.5-liter boxer engine and plenty of turbocharging, which combine for 265 horsepower and 244 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2014 model is the last of its kind, thanks to the upcoming launch of the controversial 2015 model.
