If you think the Shelby GT350 isn’t fast enough, Hennessey will be more than happy to squeeze out over 800 horsepower. It’s also rated at 657 lb.-ft. of torque. If you watch the video below and turn up the volume enough, your ears will start to bleed.

To achieve such a wondrous output from the flat-plane crank V-8, Hennessey straps a 2.9-liter supercharger, making 8 pounds of boost. The shop also swaps out some of the internal parts from the engine, dropping the compression to a magical point.

The Hennessey HPE800 isn’t just loud and powerful, the car’s incredibly fast. It can go from 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, plus run the quarter mile in 10.8 seconds. Of course, it will be more at home on the track than local streets, because the cops might pull you over for being too loud. Seriously, this is the kind of thing that makes weaker cars cower and blow their manifold gasket.
