Hennessey Doesn’t Think The Jeep Trackhawk Is Fast Enough

If you’re Hennessey Performance Engineering, no vehicle is fast enough, even the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. That’s why the performance shop has revealed two upgrade packages to make the SUV even hotter.

The first, called the HPE850, bumps power to 852 horsepower and 845 lb.-ft. of torque. To squeeze that out, Hennessey uses a combination of a lower pulley upgrade, high-flow air intake, and upgraded software. You also get other goodies, like embroidered headrests and a serial dash plaque, and such.

For the HPE1000, Hennessey squeezed 1,012 horsepower from the supercharged Hellcat V-8, while torque rises to 969 lb.-ft. With that uplift, the SUV scoots from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. Yeah, that’s jaw-droppingly quick. It also runs the quarter mile in just 10.5 seconds at 133 mph.

Apparently, the big key to unlocking all that extra power is a 4.5-liter supercharger running 14 psi. Among the supporting components is a high-flow supercharger bypass valve, high-flow fuel injectors, a factory fuel pump upgrade, high-flow air intake, and software upgrades.

With the Jeep Trackhawk HPE1000, someone should take a video of it embarrassing a Tesla Model X P100D at a drag strip.
