Hennessey Creates The Exorcist Camaro

If you’re already sick of hearing about the Dodge Demon, Hennessey has the perfect solution. It’s revealed The Exorcist, a 1,000 horsepower Camaro ZL1 with an obviously anti-Mopar name. To squeeze out that much horsepower, the tuner fitted the engine with a bigger supercharger putting out 14 psi of boost, ported cylinder heads, upgraded camshafts, a high-flow air induction system, custom engine management calibration, and more.

According to Hennessey, The Exorcist will blast from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds. It will also run the quarter mile in under 10 seconds. Before you think this beast is all about just going straight in a hurry, Hennessey is emphasizing it’s tuned for excellent handling through turns, too.

While the Dodge Demon won’t be cheap, The Exorcist comes at a price some might find steep. Of course, you have to buy the Chevy Camaro ZL1, then pay $55,000 for the upgraded engine and other mods. If you have the automatic transmission on your car, be prepared to fork out another $9,950 to upgrade that, too. As if that weren’t expensive enough, Hennessey is offering a drag pack, which tacks on another $8,995 to the cost, or a road race pack that’s $6,995.

If you’re interested in The Exorcist, know Hennessey isn’t just going to pump these cars out. Production will be limited to just 100 each model year.
