Ram Gets Festive With Hydro Blue Sport Model

Ram just unveiled the 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport, which looks downright amazing. Maybe I’m biased, because a vibrant blue looks great on just about any vehicle, in my eyes. But, I’ve said it before, and it’s being proven yet again: Fiat Chrysler offers some of the best paint colors for mainstream cars.

Of course, the Hydro Blue Sport is a special edition of the Ram 1500. It will close out the lineup of special-edition offerings for 2017. In other words, grab yours during the holiday season, or you probably won’t get one.

You get more than just the amazing blue paint. The hood is a Sport performance version, with black decals to complete the effect. And how could you miss the body-colored Sport grille with black tab inserts to create contrast? Not to mention the body-side and tailgate badges in flat black. Keeping with the blacked-out details are bezels for the projector headlights and taillights, and polished 22-inch aluminum wheels for two-wheel-drive models. If you get four-wheel drive, 20-inch wheels are standard.

On the inside, blue accent stitching, Blue Sport embroidery accents on the seats, and blue anodized panels, plus a black headliner continue the theme.

In case you don’t remember, Ram wowed us earlier this year with the Sublime (Green) and Copper Sport limited-edition Ram 1500 models. In the latter part of 2016, the superb Ignition Orange model hit the scene. You have to wonder what other high-impact, dazzling paint colors Ram has up its sleeve for 2018.
