Subaru Crosstrek to Get a Redo in Geneva

At last year’s Geneva Auto Show, Subaru showed off the XV Concept, which gave us a peek into the future of the Crosstrek lineup. Recently, the automaker announced the Crosstrek will again be a part of the festivities in Geneva, but this time, it’ll be the next-gen model taking the bow.

According to the automaker’s press release, the next-generation Crosstrek will debut at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show. And in celebration of this announcement, Subaru has released a dark teaser image of the new crossover.

While the image is too dark to make out many key stylistic details, I was able to pick out a few small details. First, it appears as if the new Crosstrek will be a touch higher than the previous model, though this could be just an illusion. There are also additional body creases on the upper portions of the doors, the quarter panels and the fenders, chunkier D-pillars, a new rear spoiler, and taillights that wrap further around the rear quarters.

We also know that this rig will sit atop Subaru’s new Global Platform, which will underpin all next-gen Subie models. It’s also a foregone conclusion that the new Crosstrek will continue with standard all-wheel drive.

Luckily, we won’t have to speculate for too long as the new Crosstrek will make itself seen on March 7, 2017. Keep it locked here for updates.
