Versa Note Gets a Sleek Black Edition
The Nissan Versa Note—simply known as the Note in the U.K.—is not necessarily the coolest of hatchbacks on the market. Despite that, Nissan is doing all it can to spruce up the image of its tiny hatchback with a new, limited-run Black Edition.
This model, which Nissan has only announced as a U.K. model, is based on the midrange Acenta trim level and it gets a slew of visual upgrades. Nissan starts by adding in the Dynamic Styling Pack, which includes body-colored front and rear bumpers, side skirts, black-colored headlight bezels, and a black spoiler atop the rear hatch. In addition to these updates, Nissan also adds in 16-inch alloy wheels coated in black, black door handles, black surrounds on the fog lights, black B- and C-pillars, and black mirror caps.
Inside, the black treatment continues with the center console, gear shifter, and headliner all using the dark hue.
Contrasting the black accents is one contrasting body color, Pearlescent Storm White, and one matching color, Pearl Black.
In the U.K. version of this rig, there will be two powertrain options available, including a 1.5-liter dCi 90 diesel engine with a manual transmission or a 1.2-liter gasoline engine with a manual transmission. If this limited-run Note makes it to American shores, it will have only one engine available and that’s a 1.6-liter gasoline unit with 109 horsepower and 107 pound-feet of torque.
For now, there is no indication whether this version of the Note will be available here in the States or not, but it’s a possibility. Stay tuned for updates.
