Everyone knows that the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is an incredibly powerful car, to say the least. In stock form it packs 707 horsepower, which is a colossal figure capable of crushing just about any other production vehicle out there. Even though some people claim that the muscle car is almost too powerful for its own good, there are still insane individuals who think that you can never have too much of a good thing.

That must have been what the guys at SeriousHP Horsepower Performance were thinking. The shop is based in Houston, Texas and specializes in modifying late-model American vehicles. Using the Challenger Hellcat, they converted it to run on E85, giving the car an immediate power boost.

SeriousHP has made some other modifications to the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, including upgrading the fuel pump, injectors, and drive shaft, plus tuning the ECU.

As you can see in the video below, the muscle car’s engine kicks out 753 horsepower at the rear wheels. Just remember that the 707 horsepower figure Dodge loves to throw around is measured at the crank. SeriousHP says that at the crank, the modified car’s pushing out 886 horsepower. As for torque, it has increased to 670 lb.-ft. Needless to say, the car’s a monster that needs to be tested out at a drag strip.

According to SeriousHP the only thing standing in the way of making even more horsepower and torque is the Hellcat’s transmission. They say that the eight-speed automatic that comes stock is on the verge of exploding. Right now the team is still working on strengthening the tranny and reworking its software so they can squeeze out more power without an incident. It’s not too hard to imagine that eventually they will be pushing out well over 1,000 horsepower.
