This GT-R-Powered Navara is Ridiculous But Awesome

The GT-R is an amazing rig, but it is not really the cargo-hauling type. Instead, it prefers to spend its time hauling ass around a track with just a few passengers in its seats and maybe some luggage in its trunk. Our British friends, however, are lucky enough to have the best of hauling and racing at their disposal with this Nissan Navara-R.

You’re not hallucinating, kiddos, that’s a GT-R’s heart living in the engine compartment of this midsize pickup. All of you are likely immediately thinking of the Juke-R and assuming this is a Nissan-built rig too, but it’s not. Instead, this crazy pickup is the brainchild of British tuning firm, Severn alley Motorsport, in Shropshire, England.

What’s even more impressive about this cargo- and tail-hauling truck is the fact that this is no standard GT-R engine. The mad tuner decided to massage it to a slightly less sane 800 ponies prior to dropping it in this supercar-crushing pickup.

What’s even more impressive is the fact that SVM can install a GT-R engine with anywhere from 550 to 1,500 horsepower into the Navara. But if you really want some bragging rights, you can shell out £175,000 ($251,264) and just get the Navara body slapped on a GT-R chassis.

This is just the tip of the iceberg too, as SVM says “we car open to the craziest ideas,” alluding to its willingness to try just about anything. Now that’s the type of tuner I like to see.
