Rent a Shelby GT-H Through Hertz

50 years after the original GT350 H was revealed, Ford’s back at it with Hertz. Shelby has modified 140 2016 Mustang GTs, which the average person can rent out at select airport locations as part of the Hertz Adrenaline Collection.

Anyone lucky enough to score one instead of a Chevy Malibu for a business trip will greatly decrease their boredom. Know that hooning too much in the car could mean big fees when it’s inspected at the end of the rental period. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

They likely will be used for quite a few high school reunions, but any enthusiasts will be able to tell the cars are rentals from a mile away with the obvious GT-H badging, black paint and contrasting gold racing/rocker stripes.

The interior is also littered with the Shelby GT-H logo on the sill plates, floor mats and headrests.

There’s also a vented hood that’s unique to the Shelby GT-H, thanks to the designers at Shelby. Interestingly enough, the new hood meant the washer nozzles had to be moved. Shelby also threw on a front splitter made of carbon fiber, upper and lower grilles, plus a rear spoiler.

One of the mods for the rental racers is a cat-back performance kit from Ford Performance, giving the cars a more aggressive sound. The Ford Racing Handling Pack is part of the mix as well, which includes lowering springs, tuned dampers, special sway bars and a staggered wheel kit.
