7 Absolutely Thrilling Sedans for Under $50K
With all of the 2013 sales figures tallied, trends noted, and propensities pondered there is no doubt that the new car market is on the upswing. One needs to look no farther than the latest auto shows in Los Angeles, Detroit, and Chicago, to realize that consumer demand is listing towards bigger, faster, and more luxurious vehicles than ever before. This certainly holds true in the sedan market, where buyers can spend hundreds-of-thousands-of-dollars on a single luxurious automobile, should they so desire. Despite the top-tier pricing of many luxury sedans there are others that are more reasonably priced. Interestingly enough some can even be purchased for less than $50k, assuming that there are still some new car buyers who are intent on getting the most for their money.

1. 2014 Chevrolet SS
This is Chevy answering the demands of consumers for an awesome looking, rear-wheel drive, full-sized, performance sedan. While it is luxurious enough for most drivers, the SS could hardly be classified as a luxury sedan. However, it may definitely be categorized as absolutely thrilling. With a powerful 6.2-liter V8 that renders 415-horsepower and 414 lb.-ft. of torque in tandem with a six-speed automatic transmission, the SS laid-down a 0 to 60 mph time of 4.9-seconds.
The interior is extraordinarily spacious and boasts such amenities as dual head-up infotainment display (which displays pertinent vehicle data on the windshield), standard equipment leather seating with premium stitching and suede inserts, and dual zone climate control. Instrumentation is carried out by a driver oriented dual page display which is flanked by a large speedometer on one side and tachometer on the other. Communication, audio, and connectivity chores are handled via a centrally located MYLink touchscreen display that is extremely straightforward and simple to configure and use.
The big sedan is also equipped with sport suspension, a competition quality Brembo braking system, and 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels. The exterior of the SS is every bit as stunning as any European sports car on the market. A sweeping front end with Xenon headlights and fog lights, trim and athletic appearance, and predatory stance seem to issue a silent challenge to the road ahead.
