Volkswagen Is Making A Pink Beetle

After decades of making a car that’s wildly popular with women (and some guys), you would think Volkswagen would’ve thought of making one pink. If you’ve seen a pink Beetle, it was an aftermarket job. But soon, you’ll start seeing pink VW Beetles rolling out of factories.

To promote this truly momentous event, Volkswagen has gone all out, creating a hashtag that’s also the official name of the vehicle: #PinkBeetle. If you want to get in on the action, know that quantities will be limited. VW will start selling the #PinkBeetle in the fall, which can be either coupes or convertibles. So far, pricing hasn’t been released.

Under the hood is a turbo 1.8-liter four-banger. The official name of the #PinkBeetle paint is Fresh Fuscia Metallic. Exterior details include gloss black side mirror caps, black running boards and Bi-Xenon headlights. One of the best features is the interior, with pink accents and pink plaid upholstery. The only thing missing is a Hello Kitty sticker.
