McLaren 570S Gains A Track Pack

Few automakers have the kind of golden touch McLaren possesses. One of the most compelling vehicles the company has made in a while, the 570S, is getting even better thanks to a new Track Pack.

To create this bundle of upgrades, McLaren drew on its extensive racing experience. In other words, these mods really aren’t geared at boosting performance as you cruise to the mall.

The car weighs 55 pounds less. This is made possible with a lighter interior, including Alcantara upholstery instead of leather.

Aero changes include a rear wing that’s 12 millimeters taller. This change boosts cornering downforce by another 64 pounds, when going 150 mph.

Some cosmetic upgrades are included. If you’ll notice, the 570S roof is darker than the rest of the body, because it’s painted Dark Palladium via McLaren Special Operations. Adding to the more sinister looks is a sports exhaust with a stealth finish.

With the Track Pack installed, the McLaren 570S can hit 204 mph and go 0 to 124 mph in 9.4 seconds. The cost is about $20,600 (£16,500). You can order it now, with deliveries starting early next year.
