You don’t usually see a Mercedes-AMG G63 actually used in an off-road competition. While the regular G-Wagen is great for hitting trails, the G63 is better suited for cruising Rodeo Drive and hauling Neman Marcus bags back home.
The thing about having so much power from the twin-turbo V-8, combined with tires made for street use, is you get about zero traction in mud. As you can see in the video below, there’s plenty of mud along the plotted course. The G63 certainly struggles with the terrain, and the driver doesn’t seem to get the value of going light on the accelerator.
So what’s the verdict? Does the owner of this luxury SUV have more money than sense? Is he oblivious to the limitations of his ride? Has he learned his lesson? Watch and decide for yourself.
