Dodge Gets in on the Star Wars Festivities by Giving in to the Dark Side
In case you’ve been holding up in a nuclear bunker somewhere for the past few years, you already know about a small-budget film known as Star Wars: The Force Awakens that opens on December 18th. Seemingly every corporation is getting ready for the latest battle between the light side and the dark side, and now Dodge has dived into it in its own way.
Dodge has crafted three cars styled after key characters from the dark side of the force in the new movie. The Dodge Challenger and Challenger Hellcat are both done up to look like First Order Stormtroopers, and they will patrol the streets of Los Angeles with a Dodge Viper ACR designed to resemble the leader of the new the dark-side star and resident Darth Vader fanboy, Kylo Ren.
This trio of muscular Dodges will roam the streets of Los Angeles from December 11th through the 14th, and fans can follow their movement on twitter using #Dodge and #TheForceAwakens. Once you pinpoint their location, you can head to where they are stationed and take a picture with these unique rigs.
So far, according to Autoblog, the cars have been spotted in Beverly Hills, The Grove, and on Hollywood Boulevard.
In addition to these badass rigs being out and about for photo ops, Dodge also released a new commercial promoting its cars and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. You can see the commercial below. Check it out and see if you can pick up all of the subtle references to the past seven episodes about a galaxy far, far away.
