The New York Auto Show is right around the corner. In fact, for us media folk, it starts on March 23rd. With the date so close, automakers are rolling out their schedules for said event, and these plans often offer great insight into what we can expect. Today, Mercedes unveiled its plans, and they include the official reveal of the production GLC Coupe. This announcement comes on the heels of the automaker releasing a concept version of the model (pictured) in China that looked like it was dang near production ready.

While the official details surrounding this X4 fighter remain under lock and key, the concept was pretty telling. In China, the automaker announced that the GLC Coupe concept measured 186 inches long, 78.7 inches wide, and rode on a 111.4-inch wheelbase. If my gut feeling is accurate, the production version will be slightly smaller than the concept as the current measurements make it a good bit larger than it’s the base GLC and its BMW rival.

What’s more, Mercedes also announced the concept boasted a 3.0-liter biturbo V6 that produced 367 horsepower and 387 pound-feet of torque, which is oddly similar to various AMG 43 models that have rolled out in recent weeks, specifically the AMG GLC43, the AMG E43, and the AMG C43. This leads me to believe that these numbers will be attached to a GLC43 Coupe model.

Mercedes will release a video on the eve of press days in New York, so we should have a little information by then. The official debut will happen on the 23rd at around 7:00 a.m. GMT. Keep it locked here for the latest.
