The Best Performance Cars of 2016 Under $30,000
11. Fiat 500 Abarth
The 500 Abarth is not necessarily fast or powerful, but there is something about beating the hell out of an overpowered Micro Machine that sounds like a Group B rally car that is oddly fascinating.
Its 160-horsepower engine gets it to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds—this feels a whole lot faster inside this teeny car—and emits a raspy note that adds tons of personality to a car that already has too much character. What’s more, the 500 Abarth has very few onboard nannies to keep you in check, so it definitely takes a lot of skill to get it right.
All of this comes wrapped up in a $22,495 price tag, leaving lots of room for upgrades.
