Automotive companies oftentimes develop working relationships with tire companies to help save money and to get tires built specifically for certain car. However, few of those partnerships have deeper roots than the one between Lamborghini and Pirelli. The partnership between these two dates all the way back to 1963, when Lambo released its first car: the 350 GTV. Since that day, Lamborghinis have always rolled out of the factory with their wheels shod in nothing but Pirelli rubber, and now the two are celebrating this longstanding relationship with a special Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition.

For the most part, the flashy Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition maintains its basic features, including the aggressive-looking body and its mighty V-12 engine that puts down 700 horsepower at 8,250 rpm. This engine mates to an ultra-fast ISR transmission that helps sprint the supercar to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).

How the Pirelli Edition separates itself from all of the other Aventadors on the outside is its two exclusive two-tone paint schemes. One paint scheme sees the roof, pillars, rearview mirrors, rear hood, and the front, rear and side moving intakes all coated in matte black. This matte black can be combined with one of six base gloss colors: Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo, or Grigio Ater. The second color scheme uses gloss black on the aforementioned upper parts and air intakes combined with one of four matte finishes on the lower portion: Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas, and Grigio Titans.

Also helping set the exterior apart from the other Aventadors on the road is a thin, red stripe that runs from the roof to the end of the rear hood, around the rearview mirrors and around the air intakes. Additionally, you’ll find a Pirelli logo on the start of the two red roof lines.

Rolling stock comes in the form of 20- and 21-inch gloss-black Dione rims shod in Pirelli P Zero tires with red logos and red stripes. Also clad in red paint are the calipers, except on models coated in the Rosso Mars color; those models receive yellow calipers.

Inside the cabin, the Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition gains black Alcantara upholstery with red contrast stitching and a red stripe that matches the ones found on the body. The seats also receive Pirelli and Lamborghini logos in red stitching. Finally, the model is commemorated by a special “Pirelli special series” plaque inside the cabin.

There is no mention of pricing for these Pirelli models, but Lamborghini did mention that they are available for order now and will be delivered in the Summer of 2015.
