The 2016 Titan XD Finally Gets a Price Tag
Nissan has been releasing information on the long-overdue redesigned Titan XD at a very slow pace, but it is starting to look like it is well worth the wait. Today, the Japanese automaker revealed a little more information on the new truck, as it unveiled a portion of its pricing information.
Unfortunately, the initial release of pricing info is only for models with the diesel powertrain, so it looks like we’ll have to wait to learn the details on the gasoline-powered model. This powertrain, which includes a 5.0-liter V-8 engine and a six-speed auto transmission, will be available in five trim levels: S, SV, SL, Platinum Reserve, and PRO-4X. The base S model with the diesel engine and crew cab will start at $40,290. The remaining prices are as follows:
• TITAN XD SV Crew Cab 4×2 $44,060
• TITAN XD SL Crew Cab 4×2 $52,030
• TITAN XD Platinum Reserve Crew Cab 4×2 $57,470
• TITAN XD S Crew Cab 4×4 $43,290
• TITAN XD SV Crew Cab 4×4 $47,010
• TITAN XD PRO-4X Crew Cab 4×4 $50,970
• TITAN XD SL Crew Cab 4×4 $55,030
• TITAN XD Platinum Reserve Crew Cab 4×4 $60,520
While those prices may seem sky high, keep in mind that they are purely for the diesel-powered Titan XD with a crew cab. Once Nissan fleshes out the entire Titan lineup, it will include two additional powertrains, three cab configurations, two frame sizes, and much lower prices. We already know that one of the three powertrains will include the already-announced 5.6-liter V-8 with 390 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque, but the other powertrain remains unknown.
Nissan will announce the rest of the Titan and Titan XD lineup and prices in the coming months, and I expect it to be competitive with the other full-size pickups on the market. We’ll bring you all of the latest details as Nissan reveals them.
