The Lotus Exige is truly an amazing vehicle. It’s essentially a track car you can drive on the street. To celebrate that greatness, Lotus has revealed the Exige 350 Special Edition. As you can probably tell from the name, it’s based on the Exige Sport 350. The car was created to celebrate 50 years of the brand.

In true Lotus fashion, it weighs about 2,422 pounds, thanks to several lightweight options that were made standard. That combines with a 3.5-liter supercharged V-6 engine, which kicks out 345 horsepower. According to Lotus, the setup makes for a 0 to 60 time of just 3.7 seconds and a 170 mph top speed. Add to that razor-sharp handling, and you have a downright deadly track beast. It also has an official Hethel track time of 1 minute 29.8 seconds.

Of course, Lotus couldn’t make this ultra-special car and not give it a distinct exterior look. It comes in Essex Blue, Old English White, Dark Metallic Gray or Motorsport Black. No matter what paint color buyers choose, a contrasting set of racing stripes are also applied, making the car even easier to tell apart from other Exiges. The car rides on black forged alloy wheels, with red brake calipers visible underneath.

Getting this car won’t be easy, because only 50 of them are being made. The other 50th anniversary models, the Evora 400 Hethel Edition and Elise 250 Special Edition, sold out quickly.
