BMW fans can rejoice knowing that the new 420i Convertible will get the M Performance parts treatment. The move really isn’t much of a surprise, considering that the Germans already have released M Performance parts for the 4-Series coupe.

As is the case with other models, the 420i Convertible can be outfitted with some parts that give the car a more aggressive look. There will also probably be some upgrades that actually improve the vehicle’s performance. Still, the parts won’t make the car become the same kind of a monster as the new M4, but they will make the 420i Convertible more interesting to drive.

For the 4-Series coupe, some of the performance parts available through BMW M include a lowered suspension, better brakes, a mechanical limited-slip differential, and a higher-flow exhaust system. If you’re interested in turning heads as you cruise along, there should be a body kit, as well as special wheels and tires to go along with them. The photo released by BMW shows off sinister-looking black trim around the dual kidney grille, plus a carbon fiber front splitter, side stripes, bigger fender vents and side mirror caps made of carbon fiber.

The M Performance parts for the 4-Series add some sporty elements to the interior of the car as well. Carbon fiber and Alcantara trim pieces portray a race-inspired appearance, as do stainless steel covers for the pedals, and a sports steering wheel.

There is a possibility that an engine kit will be made available. More details about the M Performance parts for the 420i Convertible will roll out ahead of the release date for the accessories, so stay tuned as that information is revealed.
