Bentley Announces Pricing for the Continental GT3-R

The Continental was easily the favorite Bentley model for most sports car enthusiasts, as it’s long been the sleekest, sportiest and most nimble car that the luxury automaker builds. So, it is easy to see why so many sports car lovers nearly lost their minds when Bentley revealed the Continental GT3-R, a road-legal, performance rig inspired by the Continental GT3 race car.
With typical Bentley class, the sporty look of the Continental GT, a twin-turbo V-8 that produces 572 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, a short-throw gearbox, and 220 pounds worth of weight loss it’s hard not to start salivating a bit. Well, Bentley officially corked our salivary glands today with the release of the Continental GT3-R’s astronomical price of $337,000. That’s $137,300 more than the Continental GT V-8 S and nearly $110k more than the current, range-topping Conti GT Speed.
On top of its huge price tag, Bentley further crushed our dreams by announcing that there will only be 300 examples of this stunning car build, and that only 99 of them will make their way to the U.S. I certainly expected a nice price hike and extremely limited stock, but $337k and fewer than 100 units in the States were well beyond my expectations, but maybe I was being naive.
Considering the GT3-R is inspired by a race car, features all the luxury expected of a Bentley and a 0-to-60-mph sprint time of 3.6 seconds, I guess I should have expected these sorts of numbers. Bentley has long been a very exclusive brand, and this GT3-R is understandably one of the most exclusive models within its lineup.
