I am uncertain whether to shed a tear of sadness that we are losing yet another hideous GM crossover or joy that the SRX’s replacement, the XT5, is so much better. Regardless, the SRX will be sent to pasture following the 2016 iteration. The XT5 will quickly roll in to wipe your tears with a more upscale look and a 310-horsepower V-6 engine.
The only issue now is that with the new “XT” naming system, the “Escalade” name is even more mismatched than before.
