Watch The Brakes On A Ford Focus RS Literally Catch Fire

There’s a consequence to driving cars hard and pushing them to their limits. Motor Trend found that out in a big way when it caught a Ford Focus RS’s brakes on fire. You could say it’s the ultimate sign of vapor lock.

As you can see in the video below, this was part of a comparison between the Ford and the almighty Volkswagen Golf R. After racing the two hot hatches, doing a series of hot laps and put both through a timed challenge on a country road, the Focus RS proved to be the hotter vehicle, literally and figuratively.
