It’s no secret that the Dodge Viper lately has been a sales disappointment. That has spurred Dodge to lower the car’s price and offer a new GTC model and a “1 of 1” program that is completely unique. The hope is that such innovations will capture the imagination of car shoppers how have money to burn, helping create an uptick in sales.

The “1 of 1” program for the Viper GTC allows buyers to customize the car to suit their tastes and make it completely unique. Dodge says there are 8,000 exterior color options and 24,000 custom colors for stripes that can be ordered. A total of 10 wheel options are also included, plus 6 aero packages to round out the exterior options. With 16 interior trim choices, the number of custom combinations rise to 25 million. In other words, the risk of seeing someone else with a Viper that looks exactly the same is nonexistent. Dodge even bans two buyers from ordering the same paint color in the same model year, just to ensure all of the cars are unique.

Not only do buyers get to customize the design of their Viper, they also benefit from a concierge service. Through the website driveSRT.com and the Viper Ambassador program, customers can also virtually follow the assembly of their car. The new program also allows for physical tours of the Conner Avenue Assembly Plant, which is in Detroit and is the location where all of the Vipers are built. Buyers also get their choice of numerous delivery options.

An interesting touch is how Dodge helps customers confirm their paint and stripe color choices. The brand provides a Viper speed form replica. To say that Dodge is working to make the Viper more exclusive is an understatement.

If you want to get in on the Dodge Viper GTC 1 of 1 program, you’ll need to wait until February when dealers start taking orders. Production of the cars is set to get underway in the second quarter of 2015.
