Watch Out for These 5 Cars in 2014

The automotive industry is recovering from the worst recession since the Great Depression, with a fair amount of automakers having not made it through the financial ruin. The good news is a whole new crop of cars is emerging as the world is returning to car dealerships. Many of these new vehicles feature high levels of technology and other features that make driving safer, more enjoyable and comfortable in a variety of scenarios.

Five cars stand out from the pack of new models for 2014. Some of these notable vehicles are new for the 2014 model year, while others are new generations of previously popular cars. Each vehicle offers a compelling package that is sure to appeal to a solid core of buyers, creating some major waves in the industry and possibly influencing future vehicles for years to come.

Fiat 500

Let’s face it: the Fiat 500 is cute but does not make practical sense for quite a few people. Fiat has come up with the perfect solution by stretching the 500 and adding an extra set of doors. The 500L features 42 percent more occupant space, making it practical to place actual people in the backseat instead of just a Gucci handbag. Even though it is larger, the 500L features the same spunky handling and punchy acceleration that has won over so many admirers. All of that is wrapped in a stylish Italian package that will bring in droves of the fashion-conscious, while a highway fuel mileage rating of 33 mpg will bring in the budget-conscious.

    I am not impressed with these 33 MPG cars for 35 to 45 thousand dollars, in my opinion by now they should be getting a lot more mileage for the price they want.
    With the price over 4 dollars a gallon in many areas by now, they are going to have to do a lot better in the MPG area to get my money, they should be getting close to 50 MPG by now and these manufacturers know it, but they try to fool us to believe they have the best MPG anywhere, but it’s, not true.
    I will tell you that if they don’t do a better job in the coming years, electric vehicles will take there market share, and their lunch as well, if that happens they will be looking for another Government bail out.
