Das Germans are not overly fond of manual transmissions, but BMW likes to prove that this transmission isn’t dead yet. In fact, all of its small Ms, including the M2, M3 and M4, have six-speed manual transmissions as their standard gear shifters. Yes, they perform better with their optional auto transmissions, but you don’t have the same connection with the auto option.
