Land Rover Makes the Range Rover SVAutobiography More “Dynamic”

As if the Land Rover Range Rover SVAutobiography isn’t awesome enough, the British SUV maker has announced a new version of this fully loaded SUV for the 2017 model year.

Known as the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic, this new version of the posh, yet plenty capable, SUV takes its on-road dynamics to a new level. Unlike the SVAutobiography that it gains its name from, the Dynamic version is based on the standard-wheelbase Range Rover instead of the long-wheelbase model.
In addition to its short wheelbase, which is better suited for handling corners, the SVAutobiography Dynamic also gains an optimized suspension system designed to handle on-road twists and rugged off-road journeys. Changes to the suspension system include a 0.3-inch-lower ride height, adaptive dampers, and Dynamic Response, which uses the anti-sway bars to limit body lean in the corners.
On top of the performance upgrades, the new SVAutobiography Dynamic model has some distinguishing aesthetic characteristics. These include Graphite Atlas-colored side vents, hood finisher, grille, front bumper accents, Range Rover script and tailgate trim, 21- or 22-inch wheels in exclusive finishes, and Brembo brakes with red-painted calipers.
Inside, the changes carry on. They include 20-way adjustable leather seats with a diamond-quilted pattern, contrast stitching, Grand Black veneer on the dash and door panels, knurled-finish rotary shifter control, start-stop button and pedals, and anodized red paddle shifters.
Under its hood, the Range Rover SVAutobiography Dynamic remains unchanged. It comes with a 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 with 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. This engine will continue to pair with a ZF-sourced eight-speed auto transmission.
The 2017 Range Rover SVAutobiography will hit showrooms in late 2016 at a starting price of $170,995.
