7. Jeep Patriot

Another DaimlerChrysler monstrosity is the Jeep Patriot. This was another attempt at taking a successful vehicle—the Wrangler—and using its basic appearance to market a small, soft-roader. Again, this blew up in the face of the automaker, as sales clearly showed that mocking the rugged Wrangler did not equal success in the pocketbook.

Luckily, Jeep will put the Patriot out of its misery following 2016. Rumor has it that a new compact crossover will take the slot vacated by the elimination of the Patriot and Compass.
