Tesla Model 3 Ride Quality Worse Than Competition
While Tesla has struggled to get Model 3 production really rolling, some cars have made it into the wild. I’ve seen them firsthand, and not at media events. That’s great and all, but quality seems to be an issue. The latest bad news for the California automaker is that a first-gen Nissan Leaf has better ride quality than the Model 3. Just watch the video above for the evidence, if you don’t believe me.
The team doing the measurements used Gatorade in a glass to make the jostling easy to see. It doesn’t take an expert to tell the Tesla is bouncing more, on the same road, going the same speed.
In case you have no idea, the second-gen Leaf releases soon. It’s cheaper than the Model 3, by a lot. Sure, it’s range isn’t as far, but you’ll be able to walk into a Nissan dealer and get one, without waiting months or years for delivery. And, I’m pretty sure the ride quality will be better than the Tesla’s, by a lot.
