The Volvo S90 Gets a New, Range-Topping Excellence Trim
As if the all-new 2017 Volvo S90 isn’t posh enough, the Swedish automaker has just pushed its massive sedan to a new level of excellence. Ironically, this new S90 trim is rightfully known as Excellence.
Other than its standard panoramic sunroof, all seems normal on the outside of this S90, but once you scratch the surface, you start seeing its enhanced luxury shine through. Inside is where all the premium features really come to life. This rig boasts foldable work tables in the rear, enhanced storage, heated and cooled cup holders, an adjustable footrest, and a built-in entertainment system with a large screen.
Rounding out the interior upgrades is a rear-seat touchscreen and a built-in refrigeration compartment. For good measure, Volvo also added in handmade crystal glasses from Orrefors.
The S90 Excellence will only be available with the T8 Twin Engine, which, given it mimics the T8 powertrain in the XC90, will inject 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque into this big sedan.
Like all Volvos, the S90 Excellence will be one of the safest cars on the road. Some of the intuitive safety bits it’ll include are Large Animal Detection, Pilot Assist, and a slew of airbags.
While the S90 will start rolling off the production line this month, the Excellence trim will not be available until 2017.
Stay tuned for updates.
