Ram Power Wagon Gets Its Own Mojave Sand Package
While every other automaker is looking forward to the 2019 models, RAM is looking backward. The all-truck automaker will give its off-road-ready 2018 RAM Power Wagon a sweet little update that was extremely popular on another RAM model.
Meet the 2018 RAM Power Wagon Mojave Sand Package. It shouldn’t come as a surprise if this package looks familiar to RAM fans as it’s based on the fastest-selling color option on the RAM Rebel. This package includes the popular Mojave Sand paint, a set of black wheels to match the rest of this rugged rig’s black accents, and the Heavy Duty Luxury Group, which adds LED bed lighting, an overhead console, power-folding heated mirrors, and a universal garage door opener.
Inside, the Mojave Sand Package comes with an all-black color scheme and a Uconnect 8.4-inch touchscreen.
RAM bases the Power Wagon on the plenty capable RAM 2500 Heavy Duty Crew Cab model with four-wheel drive. To spice things up, RAM adds a 2-inch lift kit, front and rear locking differentials, an electric disconnecting front sway bar, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, and a 12,000-pound winch. A 410-horsepower 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine handles power delivery.
RAM will limit the Power Wagon Mojave Sand Package to just 1,500 units, and each one will run $54,830 — a $2,235 premium over the base Power Wagon. Production will kick off in the fourth quarter of 2018.
