Nissan recently announced pricing for the 2016 GR-R, which will only be available through certain dealers in the United States. The base GT-R premium has an MSRP of $101,770. The Black Edition’s price starts at $111,510, while the Nismo’s MSRP is $149,990.

There’s also a 45th Anniversary Gold Edition of the car, which is based on the Premium. Nissan says it was made to celebrate the GT-R’s legacy. It wears a gold paint job called Silica Brass, which matches the color of the 2001 Skyline GT-R M-Spec, or the R34 Type. Other unique touches include a commemorative plaque mounted to the center console, and a gold-tone VIN plate located in the engine compartment, just in case your friends don’t believe the car is a limited-edition model. No more than 30 units will be imported into the United States, guaranteeing it will be hoarded by collectors. The Gold Edition has an MSRP of $102,770.

The VR38DETT 3.8-liter V-6 twin turbo engine still powers the Nissan GT-R. On the Premium and Black Edition models, peak output is 545 horsepower. The Premium also comes with some all-new 20-spoke RAYS aluminum-alloy forged wheels that wear a “premium dark” finish that’s pretty close to black. For the Black Edition, the car wears lightweight black aluminum forged RAYS wheels and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. It also comes with leather Recaro seats.

For the Nismo version of the car, the engine pounds out 600 horsepower. The power bump comes at least in part from the GT3 racing-style turbochargers, which Nissan says have a design that allows for better airflow and a larger capacity. Other improvements come with the GT-R Nismo, like a more rigid body, better aerodynamics and superior handling.
