Mitsubishi Releases 2015 Lancer Details

Mitsubishi fans should be interested to know that the 2015 Lancer comes with a number of updates, even though the overall platform for the car continues unchanged. The base MSRP for the car has been pegged at $17,195, if you don’t mind having a soft and anemic vehicle. Speaking of that, the entry-level ES model can be outfitted with a CVT which will put your to sleep while attaining 34 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. The car becomes slightly more interesting with the optional Value Package, which adds things like rear disc brakes, alloy wheels, and flashy chrome to the interior door handles. Wow.

The Lancer SE AWC gets a sporty front fascia, fog lights, sportier-looking wheels, and a sound system with six speakers. Double wow.

GT models really aren’t changed very much at all versus the 2014 model, but Mitsubishi did decide to include white contrast stitching on the seats and door panels. A Sun and Sound package adds a sound system with nine speakers, HID headlights, and a sunroof.

Performance enthusiasts should just skip to the Lancer Ralliart, which comes with several equipment updates. It gains the same white contrasts stitching as the GT, as well as an identical nine-speaker sound system. Buyers also enjoy 18-inch alloy wheels that have a sinister, dark finish that will terrorize WRXs everywhere. The car also gains rain-sensing wipers, an automatic-dimming rearview mirror, and HID headlights.

All trim levels will gain new side mirrors, which come with integrated turn signals as well as heaters that will be useful for everyone not living in Hawaii.
