Mini Offers Affordable Car For Students Only
Minis are a blast to drive, but they’re a little pricier than your average vehicle. Sure, you can pick one up for far less than a Bimmer, but still. Thanks to a new edition of the Cooper Hardtop 2 Door, students get a healthy discount.
Called the Oxford Edition, this version has an MSRP of just $19,750. Starting MSRP for the Hardtop 2 Door is $21,600. The Oxford Edition isn’t as stripped-down as you may think, making this special edition a tremendous deal. You get everything that’s standard on the F56 Cooper Hardtop 2 Door, plus some nice 17-inch alloy wheels, seat heaters, and your choice of a manual or automatic transmission. Adding a panoramic sunroof will cost an additional $500.
To qualify for this deal, you must be a student. Mini will verify you’re in school as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited institution. The only exception is if you graduated in the past year. To prove they qualify, buyers will need to bring a current transcript or diploma.
If you think about it, this is a brilliant idea. Mini’s looking to get buyers hooked early, hopefully so they continue buying Minis, or maybe progress to a Bimmer. Considering students and recent grads aren’t flush with cash, dangling a deal like this in front of them should net results.
Quantities of the Oxford Edition are limited. If you want to take advantage of the deal, you probably shouldn’t wait too long, because Mini may not bring it back.
