Mild Updates Announced for the 2017 Ram lineup

The Ram 1500 is still plenty fresh, so there is no need for any big updates to keep buyers into this light-duty pickup. That said, there is always room for small improvements, and the 2017 Ram 1500 is receiving just that to keep it up to date.

First up in the list of changes for the 2017 Ram 1500 is to the Rebel model. It will gain a new no-cost color option: Delmonico Red. This deep-red hue will come in two tone or monotone color schemes, with the former using black on the lower portion of the body. All other parts of the rugged Ram 1500 Rebel will remain the same, and it will start from $45,095.

For buyers who like their pickups a little posher than most, the Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 Limited will gain available body-colored R-A-M tailgate letters and side steps in place of last year’s chrome lettering and steps. The lettering is a big deal, as those big, bright “RAM” tailgates were a little ridiculous looking to some buyers. These new body-colored bits run an extra $195 each on top of the truck’s MSRP.

The Ram 1500 Night Edition models will also have available body-color running boards.

The optional body-colored letters and steps are available now, while the new Rebel Delmonico Red will hit showrooms in May. Stay tuned for updates.
