The luxury crossover segment is as hot as it gets, and Mercedes wants to keep the profits rolling in. To keep buyers interested, it’ll soon release a restyled version of its GLA-Class, and we’ll reportedly see this new-look people mover at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.

This report, which comes from Motor1.com, is based solely on a few spy shots. In these shots, it’s clear that Mercedes is only keeping the bumpers, headlights and taillights under cover. This means that these are where most of the changes will occur. In all likelihood, we’ll see only mild tweaks to the bumpers, while the headlights and taillights will get new graphics – a la the new CLA-Class.

Inside, look for things to remain relatively timid, as well. We could see some new color combos, which is common on refreshed Mercedes models. Also in the works is a tweaked infotainment system, but we’re not sure if it’ll make it in this model year or next.

Also up for possible change is the proliferation of the Dynamic Select system with adaptive dampers. We could see this system spread to all versions of the GLA-Class, except the base model.

There don’t appear to be any other changes in the works, but we should find out soon, as the Detroit Auto Show kicks off on Jan. 9, 2017.

Let us know in the comments what you’d like to see change in the new GLA-Class.
