Lotus Reveals Evora GT410

Lotus is doing it yet again: It’s unveiled another variant of an existing model to better match the specific tastes of certain buyers. This new model is known as the Evora GT410, and it takes the place of the outgoing Evora Sport 410.

The looks of the Evora GT410 takes some of the styling cues of the GT430, including its revamped and more aerodynamically efficient front and rear fascias. Up front, buyers will be treated to a pair of enlarged carbon-fiber ducts with integrated airblades and a deep front splitter. Around back, there’s a large diffuser, a revised metal mesh grille, and sculptured carbon-fiber ducts behind each wheel.

To help lighten things up a bit, carbon-fiber plays a key role. Lotus used the lightweight material on the front access panel, roof panel and louvered tailgate. This helps pull the car’s curb weight down to a svelte 1,320 kg (2,910 pounds).

Inside, the Evora GT410 features carbon-fiber race seats and door panels, Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, dashboard, door panels, transmission tunnel, centre console and instrument binnacle, twin-color stitching, and a 7-inch touchscreen with AppleCarPlay and Android Auto.

Under its hood, the Evore GT410 uses a 3.5-liter supercharged V-6 engine that pounds out 410 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This launches the lightweight Evora GT410 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and up to 190 mph with the manual transmission. Ruin the Evora GT410 with the optional automatic, and its sprint time to 60 mph rises to four seconds and the top speed falls to 171 mph.

As a specialized Lotus, the GT410 is more than just power and lightening — it’s also about handling. It boasts ultra-light wheels measuring 19 inches up front and 20 inches on the rear, an optional brake upgrade that increases the rotor size by an inch on the rear and adds four-piston front calipers and two-piston rears. Rounding out the chassis upgrades are Eibach ultra-light springs and Bilstein dampers. Optionally, buyers can add Ohlins TTX adjustable dampers.
